Missouri High School Football Huddle
Last season DeSmet beat Jefferson City in the Class 6 quarterfinals. This season, the two will test how good they are in the City of Champions Classic at East St. Louis.
Jefferson City will play St. Rita in the middle game of the tripleheader. Last season St. Rita won its sixth Prep Bowl championship, beating Chicago Public League championship Simeon 34-20. The Mustangs advanced to 7A quarterfinals where they were beaten by eventual state champ Wheaton Warrenville South.
DeSmet, which lost in the state semifinals is expected to play a team from to be named later from Georgia, while East St. Louis will take on a team from Florida.
